All delivered with comedic relief and story telling to remind you we are all human. Hosted by Ryan McConnell, assistant professor teaching at both entry and post-professional levels while continuing my own journey through a Doctorate of Science in Physical Therapy. Special interests include psycho-social variables to predict outcomes, social determinants of health, manual therapy, dry needling, orthopedics, private practice management, venting, inventing, advocating, inspiring and fun.

Mark Powers is a physical therapist for BenchMark Physical Therapy in Savannah, GA. He graduated from Armstrong Atlantic State University (now Georgia Southern) in 2011 and went on to do a residency through Promotion Training University and fellowship through Nxt Gen Institute of Physical Therapy. In addition to treating he is primary faculty for Upstream Rehab Institute’s fellowship program and provides local mentorship to orthopedic residents and new grads. His clinical interests include using strength training and other “non typical PT treatments” to help patients find their “cool things” as well as utilizing pain science to create an atmosphere that promotes resilience and hope.
